Night Log 2015-04-26

SA: Luke
SO: Veronica
Others: Petri in the afternoon with Fabry Perot input

A slow start to the night with thick cloud patches, coming better in the second half. Some minor technical glitches. Good seeing and some dark time. HRS and RSS lamp calibrations. Seven blocks observed successfully. Extensive RSS spectrophotometric standards and sky flats. Tried an important Fabry-Perot Medium Resolution etalon observation and a time critical P0.

Data taken for:

2014-2-MLT-005 P0 RSS (Deriving the mass of the central super-massive black hole in the core of active galaxies)
2014-2-SCI-021 P1 RSS (Kinematics of exotic S0 galaxies with Fabry-Perot imaging spectroscopy)
2014-2-SCI-048 P1 HRS (Studying the O Star HD 164740)
2014-2-SCI-053 P2 HRS (Metal abundance of extremely metal poor candidates with high S/N and high resolution spectra.)
2014-1-MLT-001 P3 RSS (Observations of supernovae, near and far.)
2014-2-SCI-060 P3 RSS (x2) (Searching for binaries in unusual central stars of planetary nebulae)
