We started the night with a Dome Shutter bearing that broke as we attempted to open and the Technical stand-by guys did a tremendous job to get us on sky with only 2 hours lost. The rest of the clear night was marred by terrible seeing, so only low priority blocks were done.

Mostly clear night with good seeing. Lost 2 hours to an unfortunate technical problem on the Calibration System (used for all Low Resolution Spectrograph observations) that the Technical crew will have to attend to tomorrow. Luckily the DDT observation was successfully done early in the evening and also very fortunately we could continue with the High Resolution Spectrograph for the rest of the night.

occasionally very good, bright moon, did lots of science suitable for
