It's Freedom Day in South Africa and the telescope clearly felt it needed the day off, considering the variety of technical issues we experienced. Otherwise cloud dodging was the name of the game during the first half of the night and humidity forced us to close after midnight for 3 hours, but we still managed to get some science done.

Relatively heavy rains all afternoon left us with a cloudy night and high humidity. But important monthly closed-dome calibrations were completed while we couldn't be on sky. And we are thankful for the rain, especially after such a severe drought.
