- A very difficult first night at the telescope. Had several technical issues and unfavourable weather conditions. High wind speeds caused bad image quality since we could not properly align the mirror. Had a spike in humidity which closed us for a while. Seeing was variable.

However, we did manage to make some engineering observations desperately needed for the HRS pipeline development, as well as taken several engineering tests: some polarimetry functionality tests, monochromator performance tests and took calibration series for the Low Resolution Fabry-Perot mode. Whew!
